Talks are already underway to commit Gareth Barry to a permanent deal with his contract at Manchester City due to expire, but Martinez is also keen on getting Romelu Lukaku and Gerard
Deulofeu to sign on for a further season after impressing in the loans from Chelsea and Barcelona respectively.
The pair are both highly rated by their respective clubs, but Martinez is interested in exploring the possibilities of one, or both, joining the Toffees on a permanent basis.
The Everton manager told Sky Sports, “All I want for the boys that we have on loan is that they have an incredible experience as players.
“Some of the young ones want to develop, Gareth just to have real enjoyment and create memories for the future.
“The loan market is very important for us. If we can keep those players, great. If not then we will have to use the loan market again.”
Martinez also saved special praise for Lukaku – whose future is up in the air following a reported disagreement with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho – comparing his influence on the Everton team to some of the best players in the world.
“Lukaku is an irreplaceable footballer and that is a reality.
“Barcelona are one of the best teams in the world, but when they don’t have (Lionel) Messi, the team suffers,” he declared.
