Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly ready to rival Manchester United for Atletico Madrid star Yannick Carrasco.

Carrasco has established himself as one of Europe’s best wingers since signing for Atletico from Monaco back in 2015.

The 23-year-old’s stellar performances has stretched into the current campaign with the Belgium international bagging an impressive 10 goals from 19 appearances.

However, hisform tailed off before the international break with injuries beginning to take their toll.

It is claimed that though the player signed a new deal with an ÂŁ85million release clause in October, manager Diego Simeone could be about to cash in on him.

Manchester United have the finances to broker a deal despite splashing over ÂŁ150m in the summer on the likes of Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly – espcially as they recently topped the Money League of clubs who took in the most revenue this past year.

Chelsea, meanwhile, also have funds to spend having missed out on numerous top targets last year.

Blues boss Antonio Conte saw a ÂŁ75million bid for Everton star Romelu Lukaku reportedly rejected and that failed deal shows they have the financial muscle to sign the world’s biggest stars, should they choose to use it and splash out.

Arsenal reportedly  want Carrasco as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez.

Sanchez’s future at the Emirates is still uncertain and – with his current deal expiring in 2018 – the Gunners could lose their star man at the end of the season.

And that could lead them to signing Carrasco, though any potential transfer would have to come after the club have sold Sanchez.

Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in the Atletico Madrid star.

With so many big clubs keeping tabs on the winger, it seems likely that a move away from Spain could be in the future of Carrasco, especially if he keeps up the type of performances that have drawn attention to him as of late.
