Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has snubbed the Premier League and will stay in Germany with current club BVB
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has confirmed that he was the subject of significant interest from numerous clubs this summer, but will stay at Borussia Dortmund for the upcoming season.
The Gabon international has crushed any rumours of him being a replacement for Diego Costa at Chelsea, and has been heavily linked with a reunion with Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, while former club AC Milan was also rumoured to be interested.
However, it seems now none of those clubs have a chance right now as he has confirmed it’s a done deal that he will stay put, for now.
Speaking to Welt Am Sunday, he said: ‘No one can say what the future holds. It is true that I talked to BVB before I went on vacation.
‘I told them my thoughts, maybe trying to try something else again. It was open and fair discussions with Michael Zorc and Hans-Joachim Watzke.
‘But none of the clubs that wanted me could make a change. So I’ll stay here. And I like staying here very much. I feel at home in Dortmund.’
