Jose Mourinho, Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers are still hoping to land the signature of Benfica starlet, Anderson Talisca.
The Portuguese youngster, who signed with Benfica this year from Bahia, has already become one of Jorge Jesus’ key men but has already ruled out a move this January to the premier league as he is keen to see out the remainder of the season.
Former Bahia co-ordinator and friend Newton Mota spoke with Radio ESPN and praised Talisca’s development, saying: “Talisca has become the darling of Portugal and some people call him ‘Yaya Talisca.’
“His technique is very accurate but I liken him more to Rivaldo, who was also left-footed with a long stride and capable of scoring goals from distance.
“Of course, Rivaldo was a world champion so it is very early to make comparisons but, if I see a resemblance between Talisca and anyone else, it is with him.”
