Pedro was clattered by David Ospina and Blues fans have been waiting for an update.

Pedro suffered concussion following a collision with Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed.\

Chelsea and Arsenal played each other in the Asia Trophy at Beijing’s Bird’s Nest Stadium today in a game marked as a friendly.

The former Barcelona man – who had been influential for the Blues – was laid out on the edge of the 18-yard box as Ospina attempted a clearance.

It looked nasty on the cameras, and Antonio Conte has since confirmed Pedro was taken to hospital after suffering concussion.

“Pedro went to the hospital and for sure he should be okay but I think he had concussion,” Conte said.

“For this reason, our doctor preferred to take him to the hospital and check him in the right way.

“It is a pity because in this period it is not good to have this type of injury but he should be okay.

“I am very happy for this.”

Chelsea take on the Bundesliga winners on Tuesday and Conte has admitted Pedro may not fly out until tomorrow.

“For sure he stays here [in Beijing] and then if the situation is okay he will come tomorrow to Singapore,” he added.
