Antonio Conte has launched a shock move for the Swansea striker

Chelsea are close to agreeing a surprise move which would see Fernando Llorente join the club on loan.

According to reports today, a deal is getting ever closer and it could be completed soon.

Swansea have been regularly using the forward this season, as they battle to try and get away from the relegation places. Despite this, it appears the Welsh side are quite ready to let him leave in a short-term deal to the Blues.

Swansea swoop for Iseka

This could be down to the fact that Swansea have almost completed the signing of Aaron Leya Iseka – a 19-year old striker, who is Michy Batshuayi’s brother.

Iseka hasn’t done too well on his recent loan spells but Swansea will be hoping the youngster can come and make a lasting impression in the Premier League and try and help them climb the table.

The Blues will also be more than happy to take Llorente off the Welsh side’s hands until the end of the season. Antonio Conte has worked with the 31-year old before at Juventus, so knows how to get the best out of him.

In addition, Conte has been chasing a good back-up for Diego Costa and Llorente is a similar style of striker to the Spaniard and so, when called upon, he should be a good back-up to him.
