Chelsea defender signs for Sunderland on a four year deal!

Sunderland have officially signed defender Papy Djilobodji from Chelsea Football Club for £8m.

The 27-year-old Senegal international has become new Sunderland manager David Moyes’ first signing for the club, Djilobodji agreed to a four-year-deal at the Stadium of Light.

Djilobodji joined the Blues only last summer for £4m, however, he only had made just one appearance before being shipped off on loan in the second half of last season to Werder Bremen.

The centre-back, who has, so far, 12 caps for his country, spent five years over with Nantes before making a move to England.
