Brazilian also linked with Arsenal and Man United
Chelsea coach Silvino Louro has denied that any transfer talks have been held with Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca over a summer move to Stamford Bridge.
Talisca has been linked with Jose Mourinho‘s side since the January transfer window, and the club were expected to make a bid this summer for the Brazilian.
Rumours gathered momentum after Chelsea scouts watched Talisca during Benfica‘s 0-0 draw against FCÂ Porto in April.
Coach Rules Out Interest
However Louro says: ”To my knowledge, their have been no discussions at all.”
He’s also understood to have a buy-out clause of ÂŁ35million, which may put the Blues off as well as other admirers that include Arsenal and Manchester United.
Strikers Wanted
The trio of clubs are all in the market for new strikers, but with Chelsea closing in on a season-long loan for Radamel Falcao, it’s looking likely they won’t renew their interest in Talisca.
As for United, after losing Falcao, and potentially losing Robin Van Persie, they will also be in the market for at least one new striker, whilst Arsene Wenger wants to add depth to his side, in particular in the attacking region.
