Chelsea handed boost in pursuit of Italy international

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, The Blues have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Italy international forward Antonio Candreva

The report claims that the San Siro club are still considering selling the right winger before the deadline, as Inter look to bring  in funds to try land midfielder Suso from rivals AC Milan.

Candreva has scored 54 goals in Serie A overall, having played for the likes of Inter, Lazio, Cesena, Parma, Udinese, Juventus and Livorno.

The defending Premier League champions, have been linked with the Inter Milan winger and are hoping to get him over to Stamford Bridge before the close of the summer transfer window next Thursday (August 31).

The 30-year-old has 47 international caps for the Azzurri, recently played 90 minutes in his side’s 3-0 Serie A win over Fiorentina on Sunday.

Candreva arrived at the San Siro just last August on a four-year deal following his move from Italian rivals Lazio, has scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions for Inter overall.
