According to reports the Blues are ‘Confident’ they can land PSG star Marco Verratti
The Daily Mail report Chelsea want to sign the Italy international in the January transfer window.
But the French champions are asking for more than the £30 million that’s been offered.
The Blues reportedly are confident that they can land the 24-year-old for under £40m.
However, PSG are yet to accept any offer that I can find.
Verratti’s future at PSG is in doubt after his agent revealed that a move away from the club could be a possibility.
‘Verratti wants to win at PSG,’ Donati Di Campli told Rai Sport in October.
‘However, if these attacks from the French media continue then Marco will evaluate his position and will probably leave Paris.’
‘In Paris, Verratti is playing just behind the strikers, but it’s not the right position for him. He is a playmaker,’ said Ventura.
‘Also Verratti is not happy in PSG because he is playing in the wrong position.’
