The Blues have said to have launched an improved bid of £38mfor Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly as Antonio Conte looks for his third major signing, this is according to Sky Sports News.

The Italian has already forked out on bringing midfielder N’Golo Kante and striker Michy Batshuayi to Stamford Bridge, but the Ex-Juventus manager is keen to strengthen his options up back and Koulibaly is his key target.

Chelsea Football Club have been strongly linked with the 25-year-old recently, his agent Bruno Satin confirmed earlier this week that the London Club are keen to bring his client to England and with Koulibaly looking to leave Napoli for what he says is ‘economic reasons’.

”Chelsea still want him and there’s time to close the deal,” Satin is quoted as saying by Sky Sports

“We’ve decided to leave for economic reasons. After what happened to Higuain, though, Kalidou will not be leaving for Juventus or another competitor.”

Chelsea have reportedly already seen two offers rejected for Koulibaly but Sky Sports News claim the Blues have now returned to test Napoli’s resolve with a fresh offer worth £38m.
