Trio after Aston Villa star
Roma want to sign Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke in the summer transfer window but face tough competition from Chelsea and Liverpool.
The Belgium international has scored 14 goals this season for Villa and as many as ten clubs across Europe are closely monitoring the frontman.
Italian Interest
Roma, who are on course to secure a spot in the Champions League next campaign, have made Benteke their top summer transfer target.
According to reports in Italy, the Italian giants will not pay attention to sanctions given to them by UEFA for breaking Financial Fair Play regulations so they can pay Villa a large transfer fee for the Belgian.
Villa gaffer Tim Sherwood wants Benteke to remain at the club but admits it will be difficult to keep the former Genk and Standard Liege star at Villa Park next season with the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Roma all preparing hefty bids.
