Palermo confirm bid for Argentine

Chelsea have made an official bid for wanted Palermo striker Paulo Dybala.

The 21-year-old has caught the eye of many teams this season, after emerging into one of Europe’s hottest strikers.

A whole host of clubs have made enquiries about Argentine, with Juventus, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid all willing to tempt the player away from Serie A and Italy.

But now, it appears as if potential Premier League champions, Chelsea are ready to fend off any interest after lodging an official offer to capture the striking sensation

Dybala’s intermediary Gustavo Mascardi revealed that Jose Mourinho is ready to do what it takes to bring the player to Stamford Bridge.

‘Offer was too low’

‘[Palermo president] Zamparini is asking for £29million and it seems to me like a fair price,’ he told Tuttosport.

‘Chelsea presented an offer a while ago, but it was very low.

‘In the end, Dybala will choose the team in which he sees the best options to grow, and Zamparini will decide if the offer is appropriate for him.’
