According to reports, Chelsea want a transfer fee of £60 million for the striker.

Striker Diego Costa will still be sold this summer despite Antonio Conte missing out on Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea’s asking price will start at more than £60million.

Besiktas are interested in recruiting Costa for at least part of the season and any fee would go at least some way to offsetting the huge disparity between the valuations of Chelsea and Atletico.

Atletico are serving a FIFA transfer ban which prevents them from registering any new players before the end of the year. Even if the Spanish club were to clinch a deal Costa could not play for them until January.

It’s also reported that a Chinese Super League club would take Costa, but then the club from China debunked the reports calling them fake news.

Other reports claim, Chelsea will weigh up a loan deal for outcast striker Diego Costa.

The Times claim Antonio Conte met Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich last week to discuss their plans for the future.

The Russian businessman agreed with the former Juventus chief that Costa will leave west London this summer.

It’s suggested Chelsea are keen to find a buyer for the Brazil-born forward.

However, they will consider a loan switch for the first half of the campaign if one does not emerge.

Meanwhile Chelsea’s hunt for Alex Sandro as it’s being reported Conte has found another option and a much better value.
