Diego Costa is currently the club’s top-scorer this term with two goals but now faces a three-match ban and serious questions over his behaviour.
Mourinho’s other striking options include Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy but now the Portuguese is reportedly looking to bring in another centre-forward.
According to reports in Spain, Chelsea are readying a move for 24-year-old Lacazette when the transfer window reopens.
It is understood that Lacazette would cost around £25m.
