According to reports, Chelsea are hoping to sign Athletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann over the summer.
The exciting French International has scored an impressive 29 goals so far this season for Athletico, a statistic that has put him firmly on the Radar for the Blues, who are said to be desperate to sign him this summer.
According to The Mirror, Chelsea are willing to offer him an extremely lucrative contract in order to ensure that the deal is done.
With the London club not securing Champions League football this season it could be very difficult to land the player, though with the financial backing that the club has, it can’t be seen as much of a problem.
However, whether the Frenchman is willing to give up playing for one of the Spanish giants in order to play for a team that can only be described as underperforming, and not playing Champions League football, remains to be seen.
Antoine Griezmann is already seen as one of the best strikers in Europe, and if he has a successful tournament at Euro 2016 this summer, he would definitely be seen as an asset to any club in the world.
