The full back impressed in his 1st season in Serie A
Napoli left back Faouzi Ghoulam is set to stay in Italy, and snub interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid.
The highly rated 24 year old has been linked with a big money move to England or Spain this summer, by various French media outlets.
Ghoulam, who left Ligue 1 side St Etienne for Napoli last summer, was also rumoured to be returning to France with PSG, to replace their outgoing full back Lucas Digne.
But the Algeria international revealed that he has no intentions of leaving Serie A this summer, although is flattered by interest from Europe’s elite.
“Of course it’s pleasing to be linked with great clubs but I don’t pay too much attention to this,” Ghoulam told Algerian newspaper Le Buteur.
“I’m not losing my head about this and I’m enjoying my holidays, Napoli is a great club.”
Ghoulam also ruled out the possibility of joining his Napoli boss from last season, Rafa Benitez at Real Madrid, but admires him as a coach.
“Benitez? I’ve worked with many coaches, and I have to say I got on very well with him,” he added.
“He impressed me, he works a lot on details and is always trying to perfect his work.”
