Manchester United will rival Chelsea for Alvaro Morata’s services, according to reports.
Chelsea have been linked with the likes of Morata and Lukaku all season, with many suggesting that Morata may actually be the cheaper option for the Blues’.
But it seems now that they will face competition to sign the Spaniard, with former manager Jose Mourinho – now at Manchester United, eager to bring in Morata to potentially form a striking partnership with another player they have been (very loosely) linked with this summer, Antoine Griezmann.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic side-lined for anything between eight months to a year, Mourinho is under pressure to bring in some big names for United’s front line.
However, according to another source, this time from Italy, Tuttosport, both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte could end up disappointed in their quest to bring the Real Madrid striker to the Premier League.
Tuttosport are reporting that Morata could well opt to move back to former club Juventus, in favour of a move to the Premier League.
This would be a truly bizarre move if it did happen though, with Morata only recently having left Juventus to return to Real Madrid, who he had left for Juventus originally.
