Chelsea are reportedly in contact with Imbula’s agent.

The French U-21 international moved to Porto from Marseille  for a £14.7 million deal in the summer.

After Imbula helped his Porto side sink Chelsea to a 2-1 loss on Tuesday, there is no doubt Jose Mourinho would have been reminded of Imbula’s aptitude.

However, the West London outfit have maintained their efforts in signing the 23-year-old by keeping in contact with Imbula’s father, who acts as his agent, according to L’Equipe.

Triple Interest:

The Blue’s rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are also understood to have been pursuing the player during the last transfer window.

Although, should another move for the unsettled midfielder materialize, Stamford Bridge has been seen as the most likely destination.
