The midfielder has claimed he is happy in Germany

Chelsea’s pursuit of Arturo Vidal has been dealt a blow as the player has claimed he has no plans to move away from Bayern Munich.

Vidal joined Bayern back in 2015 and he has since had a successful time in the Bundesliga. He’s become a key player and midfielder for the German giants and they would be unwilling to let him leave.

The player himself has settled at the club nicely and has dealt a blow to Chelsea today by claiming he doesn’t intend to leave Bayern, as there is no reason for him to.

Antonio Conte has been keeping an eye on Vidal and several other players as he prepares to strengthen his squad at the end of the season.

Worked together at Juventus

His side are currently flying high in first place in the Premier League but Conte wants to continue to improve his squad.

Chelsea have been admirers of the Chile international for quite some time and now that they are managed by Antonio Conte – who formerly worked with Vidal when the two of them were at Juventus – that interest has only increased.

The Blues were believed to be planning a summer swoop for his signature but the player has today claimed he doesn’t plan on leaving the Bundesliga – meaning any hopes of him moving to England could be gone.
