Chelsea superstar hints at La Liga move
The rumours of Thibaut Courtois moving to Real Madrid are never going to go away. Even if the Belgian signs a lifetime contract at Chelsea, the media will claim that he has a clause in it that enables him to join Madrid whenever he wants.
But today, Courtois himself has added fuel to the fire. The goalkeeper has openly admitted that he wants to move to Spain and play in La Liga again.
“Everybody knows that due to my personal situation, Spain attracts me. If it is not now, it will be in some years,” he told Spanish station LaSexta.
But he continued to say that he was happy at Chelsea. “I’m happy at Chelsea. I just want to wait [over contract talks] because now there are many games and I prefer to have my head focused on that,” added Courtois.
Courtois isn’t the only Chelsea player Real Madrid are chasing. Los Blancos have set sights on Eden Hazard as well and Chelsea will have a lot to do in order to keep the two Belgians at Stamford Bridge.
