Madrid flop could be on the way to England
Chelsea are in talks with Real Madrid over a potential move for forward James Rodriguez.
Spanish newspaper Sport claim the Blues are speaking to the European champions about a £60m-rated move.
Rodriguez has been at Real since a £63m switch from Monaco two years ago.
Boss Zinedine Zidane says he wants to keep the player – but senior figures at the club appear to have other ideas for a squad member that has struggled for game time over the last season.
It’s thought that Rodriguez could be one of several late signings in this window for Antonio Conte, as Chelsea look to bolster their squad and compete for a higher placed finish this season. Conte also has his eye on £40million-rated Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly and Torino’s Nikola Maksimovic.
