Chelsea are targeting Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez amid rumours contract talks between the player and club are stalling.
According to the mirror, the Gunners could struggle to meet the wage demands of the Chile international, prompting Chelsea to swoop in.
Sanchez scored a sublime hattrick at the weekend away at West Ham in a 5-1 win, showcasing what he can do and why Arsenal need to keep hold of him.
Chelsea have not yet made an approach for him, but will be relishing the prospect of playing him alongside stars such as Eden Hazard and Diego Costa, with both players currently on top form themselves.
Chelsea are already looking to tie Costa down to an improved contract at Stamford Bridge in the New Year and an audacious move for Sanchez next summer could give them one of the best forward lines in Europe.
