Chelsea are preparing a double transfer raid on Lazio for winger Felipe Anderson and defender Stefan de Vrij.
The Blues are currently enjoying a good run of form under Italian manager Antonio Conte, as they are top of the Premier League ladder after 21 games this term.
Conte wants to continue bolstering his team and is looking to bring in news signings in both the defensive and attacking departments with moves for two of Lazio’s most talented players.
There have been rumours linking both players with moves to Stamford Bridge in previous years, with De Vrij being a notable top target for Conte towards the closing stages of the summer transfer window but it is understood the deal could not be negotiated in time.
Chelsea are now prepared to bring both players to west London after monitoring them closely this season and sending scouts out to their game against Atlanta on Sunday, according to the London Evening Standard.
Title rivals Manchester United are also keen on signing De Vrij, who is out of contract in 2018 and holds a price-tag of around £35million.
Highly-rated Anderson would cost a similar price and has attracted the eyes of French giants Paris Saint-Germain with impressive displays this season.
