Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is preparing an offer for West Ham United midfielder Michail Antonio in the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old is West Ham’s top scorer so far this term with eight goals to his name and won the man of the match award as Slaven Bilic’s outfit knocked the Blues out of the EFL Cup in November.
Italian gaffer Conte was impressed with Antonio’s work-rate that night and believes the utility-midfielder would be ideal to fit into a couple of positions in his 3-4-3 formation at Stamford Bridge.
Antonio has previously played at right-back, right-midfield and up front for the Hammers this season and Conte has added the Englishman to his transfer target list this January, according to The Sun.
It is understood that the West Ham board are going to try their best to make their star man stay at the London Stadium but a move to Champions League football is likely to appeal to Antonio.
