Blues want striker to sign this week
Chelsea are ready to push through a move for Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato after Diego Costa suffered yet another injury blow.
According to reports, officials at Stamford Bridge want to try and get the deal over the line as soon as this week, in the hope that the Brazilian could be up for selection against Arsenal on Sunday.
It’s well documented that Chelsea are interested in signing Pato, and it’s believed officials from both parties have already spoken, including the striker’s representatives, who flew to London the other day.

Chelsea aren’t the only teams interested in the striker however, as Manchester United and Liverpool have both shown interest in him as well in recent weeks.
However, with Costa suffering a shin injury on Saturday, the importance of the transfer has increased in West London and they want the deal wrapped up as quickly as possible.
It’s believed it will cost around £11.8million to sign Pato.
