Andreas Christensen, Izzy Brown, Marco Van Ginkel and Nathan have all been shipped out.

The Chelsea quartet of Andreas Christensen, Izzy Brown, Marco Van Ginkel and Nathan have departed Stamford Bridge on respective loan deals, the club have confirmed.

The four young players are all on the fringes of manager Jose Mourinho‘s squad, and will use next term to enhance their development elsewhere.

Four Loan Deals

19-year-old Danish defender Christiansen, who featured sporadically in the Blues first-team last season – will head to the German Bundesliga to link up with Borussia Monchengladbach, who are preparing for their inaugural season in the Champions League, having finished  fourth in Germany’s top-tier last term.

Christiansen signed for Chelsea in 2012, and made his full-international debut for Denmark last month, after appearing at the UEFA Under21 Championships.

Meanwhile, Izzy Brown and Nathan will join Dutch feeder club Vitesse Arnhem on a season-long loan agreement with the Eredevisie outfit.

Brown, aged 18, tasted first-team experience when he was drafted into the Chelsea squad in February – making his league bow in the penultimate game of the season.

The forward will be joined at Chelsea’s affiliate club by Brazilian midfielder Nathan, who recently signed for the West Londoners.

Chelsea manager Mourinho has previously stated that the internationally capped player will not be in his plans for 2015/16.

“Nathan will not be in Chelsea’s squad next year, simple as that,” Mourinho said.

“You buy, in very good circumstances before the price goes to the moon. You develop the player. He belongs to you, is on loan, and in the right moment you bring him back.”

As for Van Ginkel, he has completed a season-long loan to Premier League outfit Stoke City.

The 22-year-old spent last season at AC Milan in Italy, but Mourinho is now keen on the midfielder getting some Premier League experience ahead of his future.
