England manager Gareth Southgate has named his England squad for the upcoming friendlies against Germany and Brazil.
The biggest news is the inclusion of Tammy Abraham, with the Chelsea youngster called up to the England squad for the first time after impressing on loan at Swansea City this season.
Abraham has scored four Premier League goals in 10 matches so far this season, and also found the net 23 times in the Championship for Bristol City this season.
He has plenty of experience for England’s various youth teams, having scored 12 goals in 32 matches from Under-18 to Under-21 level.
Fellow Chelsea player Gary Cahill is also in the squad. Southgate is expected to name either Cahill, Joe Hart, Harry Kane or Jordan Henderson as the new permanent England captain soon.
Elsewhere, there is a recall for Jamie Vardy, and youngsters Joe Gomez, Ruben Loftus Cheek and Harry Winks also feature. There are no places for Daniel Sturridge, Chris Smalling or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Three Lions take on Germany on November 10th and Brazil on November 14th, both friendly matches taking place at Wembley Stadium.
