Chelsea Football Club are set to fine young star Charly Musonda for his Instagram post that appeared to hit out at his lack of chances under Antonio Conte.
The 20-year-old has become the latest in a string of academy prospects at the champions taking matters into their own hands after struggling for first-team game time.
Musonda scored on his full debut in last month’s Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest. But talks over a new deal have broken down with Musonda unhappy at having made just three appearances this season.
on Monday, he wrote: “You sacrifice, you work hard, harder, you give more than what’s expected, and often more than you can because you love what you do and clearly more than you should.
“And what do you get back? Literally nothing… Done.
“However, with this being said I will continue with same dedication and commitment to this great game.”
Despite Musonda denying the post was aimed directly at Conte, it is seen as a reflection of Musonda’s frustration and has breached club rules.
Musonda has now removed the post from Instagram.
