Great news for the Blues!
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is set to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge, but the announcement could be delayed until the title race is put to bed.
Conte has had an incredibly successful debut season as Chelsea coach, building up a 10 point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
His start to the season wasn’t too impressive, but after a change to a 3-4-3 system, Chelsea have never looked back and have looked in unstoppable form.
But not all has been smooth sailing for Conte. who revealed last week that his family, still based in Italy, are missing him. They are due to join him in London before next season.
There had been rumours that the family factor would persuade him to leave Chelsea and take a new job at home, but that is not looking like the case anymore.
Talks about a new contract could be done and dusted before Chelsea’s FA Cup quarter-final at home to Manchester United on Monday night.
