Ajax keeper claims he is ready for a move to the Premier League

Jasper Cillessen has put Man United on red alert by claiming he is ready to move to England, according to the Express.

The Red Devils have been keeping an eye on the Holland international for most of the summer, with De Gea’s future at Old Trafford still uncertain. Ajax boss Frank De Boer has even previously admitted that he couldn’t prevent the player from moving to United, stating: “If Manchester United come with a bag of money, it can be difficult.”

Now, the player himself has claimed he is ready to make a move to the Premier League, as he said: “Five years ago, when I was playing for NEC it would have been, because NEC to United is a very big step. Right now I’m completely focused on Ajax.”

The Red Devils have already signed a keeper this summer in Sergio Romero but with Victor Valdes being told he can leave the club, it means they would still be short of a shot-stopper.

If Cillessen does join, he would step-in as number one if David De Gea leaves, while Romero would be used as backup. if United can land a deal for the Ajax man, then De Gea could very well be on his way.
