According to Sky Italia, Antonio Conte is reportedly closing in on the signing of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea currently sit seven points clear of second placed Tottenham Hotspur following their 2-1 win over Manchester City on this game week 32, and are heavily linked with re-signing the Everton hitman this summer.

The 23-year-old has 58 international caps for his country, scored 22 goals and  seven assists in 32 appearances in all competitions for Everton so far this season.

Lukaku is said to have a massive £70m price tag, joined The Blues back in August 2011 from Anderlecht, before being sold for £28m just three years later to Premier League rivals Everton.

‘Journalist’ Massimo Marianella told Sky Italia that Chelsea’s bid to bring back the Belgian to Stamford Bridge has almost been completed.

“I think many big players will join Chelsea in the summer as Conte wants the Blues to become credible contenders for the Champions League win,” he said.

“I can say Lukaku’s Chelsea move is almost [a] done deal.”
