Thibaut Courtois

Chelsea goalkeeper to be offered to Barcelona

It’s thought that new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants to sell goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgian goalkeeper has apparently told sporting director at Chelsea that he wants to leave in the summer, and Conte is ready to co-operate with that.

Courtois is under contract until 2019 but is wanted by numerous European clubs, including Barcelona, who are the apparent front-runners to sign the 23-year-old.

With incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte eyeing a squad revamp this summer, potential Courtois replacements have already been eyed.

Southampton’s Fraser Forster and Stoke’s Jack Butland have both emerged as Chelsea targets.

Chelsea will not be in the Champions League after a dismal season defending their Premier League crown.

They’re currently ninth in the league with three games to go and a staggering 29 points behind newly-crowned champions Leicester.
