Palace want to replace Yannick Bolasie

Crystal Palace are set to renew their interest in Christian Benteke after selling Yannick Bolasie to Everton.

Palace received ÂŁ25million from the Toffees for the winger, but it’s their Merseyside rivals, Liverpool, they’re going to turn to in order to replace Bolasie and bolster their attack.

Liverpool paid ÂŁ32.5million for Benteke last summer, with former boss Brendan Rodgers paying Aston Villa the sum for the Belgian striker. However, his debut season was less than impressive, with him falling out of favour once Jurgen Klopp arrived at Anfield in October.

Palace have already had 2 bids for Benteke rejected, with Liverpool refusing to accept anything less than the amount they paid for him a year ago.

West Brom have also been linked with a move for the big striker – but Benteke reportedly favours a move to London.

Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Danny Ings, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are all ahead of him in the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp.
