Crystal Palace want £60m for Bolasie

The former Bristol City man is on Liverpool’s wish list this summer

The Palace winger scored a hat-trick in the 4-1 victory at Sunderland so Alan Pardew tripled his asking price.

The London club signed Yannick Bolasie back in 2012 from Bristol City for £400K, where he had scored just the once, having played 25 times.

Palace will spend next season in the Premier League and despite Pardew’s reluctance to sell his star players, he said: “Every player has a price, of course,”

“This is a top-10 team at the moment, yet if you put the valuation of our squad against any of the other teams above us, and some below, it’s not right,”

“Anyone who rings me up will get a proper price. It’s only our second year in the Premier League so it’s understandable (if players are undervalued).”

Pardew’s eye for a profit

The former Newcastle boss has been in a similar situation back in 2011 with the Magpies as he explained they had: “accepted a big bid for Andy Carroll,”

“I said to the chairman at the time that that was a gamble. We were by no means secure; we’d only just come up from the Championship that year,”

“But we did it, and we ended up with a very, very good team. So it is about the right price for the right player.”
