Juan Cuadrado has admitted that he did everything he possibly could to leave Chelsea for Juventus this summer.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was desperate to keep the Colombia international at Stamford Bridge but the winger ended up joining Italian giants Juventus on a three-year loan deal on deadline day.

The former Fiorentina star struggled to impress in the Premier League, making just 15 appearances for the Blues.

The 28-year-old also spent last season on loan at the Serie A champions and has revealed that he always wanted to return to Italy after not settling down in England.

In an interview with JTV, Cuadrado said: “I did everything to come back, and thanks to God I’m here. I’m very happy.

“To see the stands and the noise the fans make, I’m excited by the public’s support.

“It was exciting to see.” he added.
