Real Sociedad manager had chances to return to England throughout the summer

David Moyes has revealed he has several job offers from England throughout the summer, but he turned them down in order to stay with Real Sociedad.

The Scot left England after his failed spell with Manchester United and ended up in Spain with La Liga outfit Real Sociedad, where he has been for 10-months now.

After getting sacked at United, Moyes was adamant he wanted to leave the country in order to recover from his ordeal at Old Trafford and Sociedad was his next job.

However, according to Moyes, he snubbed several offers from England throughout the summer in order to stay in Spain.

The likes of Leicester City, Sunderland and West Ham United were all looking for new managers at the beginning of the summer, and it’s thought Moyes may have heard from those clubs.

Moyes Reveals Offers

The Scot told El Diario Vasco: “This summer I received a lot of offers to return to the Premier League.

“But I have decided to stay here because I believe in this project and I believe in the players we have – players who I know much better now.”

The 52-year-old made his name in the Premier League with Everton, but he fell from grace when he took over from Sir Alex Ferguson at United.

He lasted just 10-months despite being offered a long-term contract.
