Speculation of Wenger’s future at the club had been circulating for some time, with his contract due to expire this summer. However, after another top 4 finish and an FA Cup win, their first trophy in 9 years, the news has today been announced that he has pledged his future to the club.

Ramsey and Walcott were quick to congratulate the Frenchman on signing until 2017 on Twitter,

“Great news on the boss signing!! Exciting times ahead,” said Walcott.

“Congratulations on the boss signing for another 3 years, looking forward to building on last season’s success,” added Ramsey.

Wenger, despite being trophyless for nine seasons, has won 3 Premier League titles at Arsenal, and 5 FA Cups since becoming Arsenal manager in 1996.
