Real Madrid took on bottom place team Deportivo La Coruna at El Riazor everyone expecting a goal feast soon turned out to be thriller encounter, where in Real come back to seal a victory.

Jose Mourinho with bigger fish to fry later in the week ahead of back to back clash with Barcelona in Copa Del Rey, la liga & last 16 second leg Champions League at Manchester United rested some of key notable players like Ronaldo and Ozil in the 1st half.

Deportiva took the bull by the horns, came out all attacking with lights of Pizzi & Riki at less stronger Madrid side. All though Mourinho’s men controlled the ball, they were lacking speed up front. On 35th Deportiva’s Riki broke the deadlock put host in driver’s seat.

Madrid started 2nd half with confidence with Callejon’s lively runs & Marcelo’s shot on target being blocked by Deportiva Abel Aguilar. Mourinho sensing an opportunity like a trader played out all his trade at once with triple substation introducing Ronaldo, Ozil and Sami Khedira.

Fresh legs made immediate impact, with Argentinian star Higuain who thought he had scored equalizer, but later being flagged offside. For 1st time in match momentum was with The Visitors, 73rd min Kaka pulled the rabbit of the hat for Madrid with curling inside the post from top of the box.

Madrid in search of a winner, kept the pressure upfront with Ronaldo narrowly heading the ball wide. But Madrid top goal scorer for the season played an instrumental role 88th min winner, when he received an unselfish pass from Kaka to send a low cross to Higuain for a simple goal.

Madrid held the lead for the rest of the match to steal 3 points away from Deportiva. A truly hard working win for Real Madrid.

One positive take away for Deportivo, attack due Riki & Pizzi if continue with current form, they might surprise us with rise from bottom of table.
