Former-striker admits he’d manage club

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba admits he would love to manage the club in the future.

A lot of questions have been raised surrounding the long-term future of Jose Mourinho, with several names already thrown into the hat to replace him.

The likes of Carlo Ancelotti, Diego Simeone and Antonio Conte have all been linked with the top job at Stamford Bridge.

However, Roman Abramovich has kept faith in Mourinho and has fully backed him despite the poor start to the campaign.

Speaking about Chelsea and his former-club, Drogba has admitted that he would love to manage them in the future.

Drogba is a legend in West London, after scoring 164 goals for the Blues, and also scoring the winning penalty in the 2012 Champions League final.

Drogba Eyes Job

When asked about potentially managing in the future, Drogba admitted he’d love the job.

“I want to give back to the club which has given so much to me. I have agreed that with the club directors,” he told BBC Africa.

“Why not manager? Why not sporting director, trainer at the academy or maybe an advising role for strikers?”
