Blues starlet Reece James has signed his first professional contract with Chelsea.
The 17-year-old player, who joined the Blues at the young age of six, has been attracting very strong interest from Manchester United back in November.
James is in his first season as a scholar at Stamford Bridge, he first made his debut for the club’s Under-18s last term.
Reece can play in defence or midfield and has been training at the club since the age of six
Head of youth development Jim Fraser told the club’s website: “Reece has been training with us since the age of six after training at our Cobham development centre.
“He started out as more of a striker before moving back into midfield and played most of last season at right-back or in midfield.”
