Midfielder completes loan-deal to The Hawthorns

West Bromwich Albion Football Club have announced the loan signing of Queens Park Rangers midfielder Sandro.

The Brazilian has moved up a league for the remainder of the season, with a view to making the switch a permanent one in the summer.

Sandro has been in England for six years now, initially arriving in London with Tottenham Hotspur, before moving to QPR.

The 26-year-old failed to keep The Rs in the Premier League, but he has now returned to the top flight with WBA, and he’s revealed his delight at the transfer.

Sandro Delight

“I spoke to the manager and was impressed,” Sandro said on the deal. “This is a big club and I feel happy to be here and very happy to be back in the Premier League.

“I believe I have a lot to offer. It was my first day today and I’m looking forward to being part of this family.

“As a player I play with my heart, I give all I can on the pitch – all the time I want to win the ball and play the ball. I hope the fans will see the best of me during my time.”

Pulis on Transfer

Manager Tony Pulis is also thrilled with the capture of Sandro, especially with the injury problems mounting up at The Hawthorns.

”We’re delighted to bring such a quality player to the club.

“We’ve got a few injuries and knocks at the moment so we’re pleased to be able to strengthen the squad. Sandro has a great pedigree and will be a good addition to our squad.”
