The AC Milan keeper is being lined up as a potential replacement for David De Gea in summer

Gianluigi Donnarumma has yet to pen a new AC Milan deal despite holding talks over a new contract, according to reports.

The keeper has been a revelation in Italy and is still just 18-years old. His performances in between the sticks has shown a maturity far beyond his years and he has quickly become hot property in Europe.

It has led to interest from both Real Madrid and Man United, with both sides potentially on the lookout for a new goalkeeper in the summer.

Madrid have been desperate to sign a new shot-stopper for quite some time, with the Serie A side eyeing United’s David De Gea. However, if they are unable to sign him, then they have Donnarumma lined up as another potential new addition.

The Red Devils are preparing for the possibility of losing their Spanish keeper in the transfer window and if he did end up leaving Old Trafford, then they too are planning a move for the AC Milan goalkeeper.

Both clubs have been handed a boost in their pursuit of the youngster, as he has yet to sign a new deal in Italy. Despite his current deal only expiring in 2018, the Serie A side are willing to offer him an extension until 2022 and are prepared to up his wages significantly to around 3.2m Euros a year.

Donnarumma’s representatives though have held talks with the club over this new deal and despite the increase in wage and extension in years, they are stalling on the new contract.

If he doesn’t pen a new deal soon, it could pave the way for both United and Madrid to launch their moves for him in summer – and if the player doesn’t want to sign a new deal and stay at Milan, then he could decide to join one of the two.
