Borussia Dortmund are considering a bid to bring back struggling Manchester United winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan to their club.

Mkhitaryan has had a mixed time at United since joining the Red Devils last season.

The Daily Star claim that the Bundesliga side are considering a move for their former player who has struggled for game time in recent weeks.

The Armenian had a great start to this season after registering five Premier League assists in his first three games, but has not made any assists since and only scored one goal.

He has also not started the last five games and has been accused of ‘disappearing’ in matches by Jose Mourinho.

Mkhitaryan joined Manchester United for around £30m from Dortmund in 2016. His first season at Old Tr afford saw him only score four goals and make one assist.

It looked like the Armenian had finally found his form at United at the start of this season but he has failed to impress since then in what has been an anti-climatic second season at the club.

The 28-year-old may welcome a return to his former stomping ground as he was voted the Bundesliga Players’ Player of the Season after making 15 assists in the 2015/16 season with Dortmund.
