The central midfielder could cross the border this summer
According to Sky Sports News HQ, Joey Barton has been spotted at Rangers’ Murray Park training complex today.
The one-time England international spent this season at Championship club Burnley, playing an influential role in helping them win the division and secure promotion to the Premier League.
However, the 33-year old is out of contract at Turf Moor and is believed to be in Glasgow to discuss a move to the newly promoted Scottish Premier League side.
The Clarets are yet to comment on the matter, but rumours suggest that the club are confident of Barton being part of their squad for the next campaign.
If Barton is to move to the Gers, he will be their second midfield signing of the week after Jordan Rossiter joined from Liverpool.
