Ivorian will play his last game today

Chelsea star Didier Drogba has confirmed that today will be his last game for the club.

The Ivorian is out of contract in the Summer and he has released a statement on the club’s official website that today will indeed be his final farewell to Chelsea Football Club.

The striker returned to Stamford Bridge last season after two years away in China and Turkey, but the 37-year-old has now decided that he won’t extend his stay by 12-months.

Drogba Speaks

In a statement on the club’s official site, Drogba said: ‘I want to play for at least one more season and in order to play more football I feel I need to go to another club. All the fans know my love for Chelsea and I hope to be back here in the future in another role.’

During his time in West London, Drogba has near enough won it all for The Blues, including the Champions League after he scored the winning penalty against Bayern Munich in Berlin.
