Italian wanted key figures out out Stamford Bridge

It’s been revealed that Antonio Conte asked Roman Abramovic to get rid of 2 Chelsea key figures this summer.

The Italian was announced as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor back in April.

Despite being the new man, Nigerian news0 outlet Papilo News claim Conte was not put off pushing for change at his new club.

They say the ex-Juventus and Italian national team boss was keen for Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia and technical director Michael Emenalo to be pushed towards the exit door at Stamford Bridge.

Former Nigeria international Emenalo was originally employed as a scout before working his way up to his current position.

Meanwhile Granovskaia is charged with directly overseeing the Blues’ transfer activity on Abramovich’s behalf.

However, both men remained in their roles and had key involvements in the signings of Michy Batishuayi, N’Golo Kante and David Luiz.
