Diego Simeone, manager of Atletico Madrid, reportedly wants a crack at the Chelsea job, but on one condition.

Blues fans are still reeling from the surprise sacking of Jose Mourinho yesterday, and there some high-profile candidates in the frame to replace him.

Guus Hiddink is the short-term solution, until the end of the season.

And Simeone has also thrown his name in the ring, but he wants to do things his way.

One condition of him taking the Stamford Bridge post would be that he wants a complete overhaul of the playing staff.

He may not even come to West London alone, as Atletico striker Antoine Griezmann is a top target to join him should he take the challenge.

Simeone’s Atletico side currently sit joint-top of La Liga with Barcelona, ahead of the Catalans on goal difference.

Griezmann has played a big part in their success this season, with eight goals from fifteen games.

Simeone is under contract with Atletico until 2020, with a ÂŁ15m get-out clause inserted.

He has won a host of trophies with Atletico in the last few years, including the Europa League, UEFA SuperCup, Copa del Rey, La Liga, and reaching the Champions League final, losing to city rivals Real.
