The Serbian has had a poor season with Chelsea and did look set for an exit

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic looks set for a new deal at Stamford Bridge despite amid talks of an exit.

Ivanovic has come under a lot of criticism from pundits, opposition and even Chelsea supporters this season for a number of poor performances.

Since being dropped a month ago, it appears Jose Mourinho regards both Kurt Zouma and Abdul Baba Rahman above him in the pecking order.

Agent dismisses speculation

Despite all of this, the Serbian’s agent Zoran Krneta insists he will remain at the Blues for the time being.

“He will probably renew his deal with Chelsea,” Krneta said.

“There are rumours about Inter and in football everything is possible.

“Anyway, the Nerazzurri could be interested to him for the summer market and not the winter one.”

Ivanovic has made 326 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League champions, scoring an impressive 31 goals from defence.

The 31-year-old has two Premier League winners’ medals, three FA Cups, the League Cup, the Champions League and Europa League – where he scored a stoppage-time winner in a 2-1 victory over Benfica.
