Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro has left the club following the publicised fallout with manager Jose Mourinho, according to reports.

Carneiro hit the headlines last month when she, along with physio John Fearn, raced onto the pitch during the game with Swansea to tend to striker Eden Hazard.

As they made their way to the stricken forward, Mourinho shouted expletives at the pair, as shown in video footage.

Mourinho then insinuated she was naive and didn’t know football for her intervention and criticised the medical staff for their part in Chelsea’s draw.

Carneiro then had her role at the club dramatically reduced. She was due to return to work last Friday, but failed to show up.

She has not even appeared at the club for any matches since the fallout.

Carneiro is now said to be seeking legal advice, and is considering suing Chelsea for wrongful dismissal.

This news will only add to Chelsea’s problems after a terrible start to the season.

Poor league form, coupled with the Carneiro issues, and now the news that Diego Costa has been handed a retrospective ban for his altercation with Gabriel of Arsenal.

Also, Mourinho is the subject of an FA inquiry, after a member of the public made a complaint, claiming he shouted ‘filha da puta’ which means ‘daughter of a whore’ and if proven could lead to Mourinho being banned for five matches.
